What you keep — pricing for tutors
Joining is free and matching is free. From your second lesson with each student there is a small platform fee, and nothing else. This page is every cent Learn Now can ever cost you.

Every Charge That Can Ever Touch You

| Placement fee | Once per new student — their first lesson with you | That one lesson’s fee: your rate × the trial length, at least 1.5 hours. From lesson 2 you keep your rate less the platform fee (5%). Halved if the trial doesn’t continue. |
| Onboarding fee | Once per family you already know — a sibling, the same child on another subject, or a family you bring in yourself | A quarter of lesson 1, instead of a placement fee. No trial: the family pays lesson 1 as normal, Learn Now keeps 25%, you receive 75%. From lesson 2 the platform fee applies as usual. |
| Platform fee | Every lesson from the second with each student | 5% of the lesson price as a Standard Tutor; 4% as a Business Desk Tutor; 3.85% as a Founding Growth Partner (a founding seat, over S$150k taught in any twelve months, or fifteen referred tutors each earning S$1,000+). Your status is permanent and the best rate wins. Stripe’s cost of paying you is inside it — nothing else is deducted. Never on a trial that is our placement fee, nor on an onboarding lesson — the one exception is a trial with a family you had already taught, which is yours less this fee. Never charged to the parent. Fixed at the rate in force when the lesson is paid; if it ever rises, 30 days’ notice by email. Your current rate, and any promotion, is on your Finance page. |
| Rewards | Paid to you, on top | A welcome bonus on your first twelve months (1.5% on the first S$10,000, shrinking by band, up to S$700); a yearly loyalty rebate of 0.2% to 1% of the year’s lessons once your lifetime total passes S$30,000; and, for Partners, a share of marketplace profit. S$20 for each tutor you refer, on their first lesson. All of it shown on your Finance page. |

Parents pay no platform fee. Paying by PayNow costs them nothing extra; paying by card, WeChat Pay or Alipay adds a 3% payment fee, shown as its own line before they pay — so your rate is always the price they see.
